Great time of year

I love this time of year for a few reasons. Going up the canyon to see all the leaves change colors, Halloween, Thanksgiving and ok I'll say it Christmas. Plus, all the family time those bring.

This year for Halloween Aunt Chelsea made Camryn and Adelaide "Lawn Gnome" costumes. They turned out great! The girls however did not want to keep the hat or beards on. They at least let us put them on for a picture.
They looked so cute together!! I will post a picture of both of them soon. Camryn was so cute with her little bucket. Each house we went to she would get the candy and carefully place it in her bucket. After we got home she decided to dump it all out on the coffee table and sorted it. It was so cute! I hurried and snapped a picture before she put it all away.
We only had 6 kids come to trick-or-treat but it was still fun. My neighbor told me that because we live on a dark street that is connected to a busy street that they never get many kids, so I guess I wont feel guilty about not handing any out next year.

Our Akita pair just had their second liter. 7 puppies in all 3 males and 4 females. Just in time for Christmas!! Camryn LOVES them! She will just sit there and hold each one and then not want to go back in the house. Good thing it is not really cold yet. We came in from seeing them the other day and I was in the kitchen and then it got really quiet, I knew that Cam must be getting into something or being a stink. This is where I found her.

It was so funny! She tried to get out but then I asked if I could take her picture and she just smirked. LOL She has gotten to the point where she wont really smile for pictures but she wont move. I guess beggars cant be choosers.

With this new time change it has really been throwing me off. I left work the other day at 4:45 and the blasted sun was already going down!!! I HATE that about this time of year. BLAH that and snow. After I got home Cam and I decided to start a movie while dinner was in the oven. Mind you it was only 6:30, Cam must have been seriously tired because when I came in from checking dinner this is how I found her.

I cant blame her, its what I wanted to do but ended up eating alone and going to bed early. Such a great day! Last week I had Friday off so Braeden and I were able to spend some time together. Which is always awesome seeing as we work opposite shifts. After going down to Provo for a bit we decided to go to dinner with my sister Angie and her boyfriend Nic. We had a really good time. There seems to be enough time to catch up though. Good thing we only live ten minutes away now. Love you Ang and Nic!

Our life...

I know that I am not the worlds greatest blogger. I knew that when I started this thing but I thought that I would be better then I have been. Anyway, its been months since my last blog and a lot has happened in our lives. We recently bought an old house in Lehi and have been in it for about a month. We took out the old carpet, put new paint on the walls and have been able to make it our home. We love it! It is so nice to be so close to work and to my mom's. We really miss being in Provo though, Grandma and Grandpa Woodger sure miss Camryn but we go down every Sunday for dinner. It is always nice to see the cousins that we used to see daily once a week. It has all been such an adjustment but so wonderful.
Update on Camryn:
She is seventeen months now, almost old enough for nursery! I am not sure how she will handle that but we will just have to see. She is very much an independent and defiant little girl. Does not want mom or dad to even attempt to help her and if we do she doesn't want to do it anymore. Its hard believe but she is even more picky about the food she eats then I am! Shocker there. :) Some of the things that we can get her to eat are milk, yogurt, grapes and bananas...at least she like healthy foods, right?
She loves to go on bike rides, walks and to play with the dogs. She is so funny, anytime there is music she starts shaking her little bum and makes the funniest faces. She had Braeden and I rolling on the floor the other day it was so funny. She likes to have us pretend that we are asleep and then she will kiss us awake. Its so cute until we are really trying to go to sleep and she wants to play.

Here is a picture of her in the bike seat. Once she is in there she does not want to get out. No matter how long she has been in there. Its so funny. Her hair has gotten so long and she has been so good to let me do it.

Here is it when I did it in pig tail buns. She looks so grown up when it is all pulled back. She didn't want to turn around for the picture. Luckily, she was in front of our mirror in our closet. I can not believe how big she is! She really is so small for her age but she is growing up and its so different. I love being a mom more then anything! I am so grateful for her!

I look back and when she was first born and wonder where the last year and a half went!!

Update with Me:
I have been doing the normal for me. Going to work Monday through Friday 9 to 5 loving having my weekends free. Coming home to my precious yet hectic little one and Braeden has been wonderful. My best friend Carrie is visiting from Montana so we decided to chop my hair off. We ended up cutting 8 inches off and surprisingly enough my hair is still at my shoulders. We also added some more blonde highlights. I am really loving the new do. Just something fresh and fun and Braeden likes it too :) LOL he never cares what I do with my hair. Other then the new hair do nothing is really new with me. I am super excited for fall and the spirit that it brings.

Update on Braeden:
He has been so busy with work and with all his side jobs that we are lucky when we can see each other during the week. We do have our weekends and we love that. He has temporarily taken over the pack down crew at work so he is working into the night. This week they has a reset so he worked from 8 pm to 7 am. Normally he goes in at 6 and the comes home at 2 am. It has been hard to adjust to but we do what we have to. I am so grateful for him and the wonderful man and father that he is. Couldn't have asked for a better guy.

That really is all that we have been up to for the last few months. We lead such exciting lives I know :)

Happy 4th of July!!

I love the 4th of July! It is so full of tradition and family time and I love it! I had the day off and we got up early and went to be in the Murray parade. The bank has a branch up there and we decided to go along and play :) Camryn was all dressed up and so stinking cute!

She was so funny with the headband...she didn't want to take it off. She would look at her shadow and feel her head to make sure it was still there. We sat in the back of the bank truck and threw candy and waved. Camryn was so funny, she wanted to help so bad. She would pick up a piece of candy and throw it as far as she could...which was in the back of the truck. Then she would try to hand it to people on the road...HAHA so freaking cute!!

After the parade we met Grandpa Sandmire, ate breakfast and played for a little while. We went and visited daddy at work and then headed home for a BBQ with the Woodger side of the family. Lots of summer salads and good old hot dogs and hamburgers. We then took a family nap! I love those!! Daddy bought a bunch of fireworks but we ended up watching the neighbors do theirs and we are going to save ours for the 24th, when cousin Addie will be here to enjoy them with us.
I am so very grateful for those who are willing to serve our country so that we can enjoy the freedoms our for-fathers fought for. HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY!!

Life

It has been a really long time since I blogged last...there are so many things that have happen so I better get back on the blogging band wagon. Since Camryns birthday she has been walking all over the place, almost running at times. When she is doing something that she is not supposed to she will look at you and smile and test the limits. EVERY TIME!! That girl is such a handful but she is the greatest blessing ever. She has also been teething (for real this time!) she has one of her top teeth poking through the one next to it is also making its way down. She has been super sick with it though, she has had the normal teething sick, fever, runny nose a slight cough. She has had a fever for a couple days and Tuesday morning at 1:45 she woke up with a fever of 102.1 :( I was really worried. I gave her some Advil and seemed to help her begin to feeling better. We took her to the doctor that same day and discovered, an ear infection, rash, and possible thresh in her mouth :( Poor thing! i felt SO bad! The doctor ensured us that because of he teething her system was on overload causing the other problems. We got a some medication to give her twice a day for ten days. It is super awful! It is thick, white chalk looking stuff. She gags every time :( She seems to be doing so much better though :)
It is always so hard for me when she is not feeling well. I just wish that there was something else that I could do to help my little angel feel better. Does it ever get easier?
On a happier note, I have another niece and my first nephew! :) Connor was born May 9th and Siegen was born June 7th.  I am really happy that they are here! So are their mothers :) Connor is the spitting image of his daddy and we cant really tell with little ziggy yet. She is only 2 days old but she is just SO cute! Cant wait until they are home from the hospital and ready to play. Camryn now has 3 girl cousins and 1 boy cousin :) she is the leader of the pack of grand kids. She loves to kiss them and always trys to give them loves. She is going to be the best big sister :)
Our family is so excited for the nice weather that we have been having lately. I think that we are going to have a VERY warm summer. We are excited to use our pass of all passes this summer and to spend a lot of time at Seven Peaks. Camryn is a little water bug, we have to drain the tub every time before she will let us get her out. :)
Can't wait to spend our summer in the sun!

Camryns birthday blanket

I have wanted to make a blanket for Camryn for a while and decided that her birthday was a great time to make one. I didn't know if I would finish it in time but I did!!
I went to Hobby Lobby with my good friend Andrea. I really love that the fabric we picked out.

All the fabric cut into squares, just ready to be sewn together in rows.

All the squares sewn together in rows, now the rows need to be sewn together.

The finished blanket!! I really love how it turned out. I really want to make more now. Thanks to my mom and Andrea for letting me use their sewing machines!
I can't wait to get my own machine! There are so many things that I want to make.

Just another day...

I am super excited for the weekend!! This has been the longest week! With it getting warmer outside it just makes it that much better. Today we have a double header in soccer. I am just hoping that all our players actually show up. 80 minutes of straight soccer might kill me! I have just been cleaning, doing laundry and relaxing until the games start. Camryn is taking a nap, Braeden is on his way home from work and I'm bummin it :)
Update on Camryns birthday blanket. I have cut all the squares, sewn them together in rows, now all I need to do is sew the rows together and then sew around the outside. I am really excited for it to be done. It has turned out really well!! I am looking for a sewing machine if anyone knows of a good deal on one. I have been using my friends to make it so far but I would love to have one of my own! Braeden said that when we get our own house that he will build me a craft room and craft table :) I am so excited for it!!

Lil bug

Every so often Camryn will wake up during the night and we will just bring her in the bed with us. It is so much easier to just let her fall back asleep with us. That doesn't happen often but sometimes she just wants to snuggle. She will always with out fail get as close to you as she can. I will be on the edge of the bed and she is right there with me. She has also started to sleep on her face and it is so funny. I was worried about it at first but she does fine on her belly. We always put her to bed on her back but she will roll over on her side and then to her face. Last night she woke up around 5 and Braeden was already gone for work so I got her and laid her in bed with me. When I got up an hour later she was completly out and she looked quite content on her face.
I then moved the pillow that was in front of her face and she was still out. It was so funny, I had to take some pictures to show Braeden.
Also, her hair is getting so long and I love it. Yesterday I put her hair in little pig tails behind her ears. They were SO CUTE!! She screamed while I did it but it was worth it :) By the time we got to my moms one was sticking staright up and the other one was still in-tact LOL She has laid on the one side the whole ride LOL. This morning I decided to put her hair in pig tails again, she only started to pull away during the second one. I think that means that she is liking it more and more. :) She really looks so grown up with them. I tried to get a picture of the back of her hair and she thought that it was a game and she would turn her head from side to side. She just laughed so I gave up for today. I am determined to get a good one soon.

Gratitude

I have been thinking about all the things that I take for granted lately. The things that I am so grateful for.
One is my husband, I don't think he knows how much I need and appreciate him. He is such a good person. He is such a good example for me. He is a wonderful father, maybe a little rough with my little girl ;) He can not wait for a little boy, to wrestle, to teach how to play soccer and to just be his little man.
Another is the blessings of going to the temple. I have been trying to go to the temple as much as I can. It is hard sometimes in our busy lives. My friend from work has been so wonderful with wanting to go with me. I am going to try to make it a goal to go once a week. I always feel so refreshed when I go. I feel at peace with my self and feel that I can get through this crazy this crazy thing called life.
Camryn is my other blessing she is getting so big! It really is so crazy how time really flies when you are having fun. It seems like yesterday that I could just sit and feel her move in my belly. She will be one soon. I am really kind of sad that we don't have a baby anymore. She is a little girl! My father in-law keeps telling me that I just need to have another one. I don't think that I am quite ready for that but maybe soon. I am so grateful that everything has turned out good with her. When she was at Primary Children's Hospital for the first two weeks it was the longest two weeks of my life. The thought of actually loosing her was too much to bare. I don't know what I would do with out seeing her beautiful smile everyday, hearing her say mommy and even her being a little terd. I am ever so grateful for all the prayers that we received on her behalf. My heart goes out too all that have every experienced anything so heart breaking as loosing a child. I wish that there was something that I could do to ease your pain.
I am going to try to not take these wonderful things for granted. This is a crazy, scary and exciting life that we live. Lets try to make the best of it!

Daylight Savings...

I love the idea of daylight savings but when I got out of bed this morning it was still dark. I am not loving that part. If it is dark outside, I should still be in bed...right? I know that I am going to love having it lighter in the evenings. One of my favorite things about spring and summer is how late you can stay outside and it still be warm and light. I am sure that most everyone feels the same way. This is just going to take a few days to get used to.
Soccer game Saturday night, we won 8 to 5. Braeden scored 5 goals! It was a really good game. After the game we had a wedding reception to go to. It was for a guy in our ward that Braeden grew up with. We hurried to my moms where we quickly showered and got changed for the reception. We made it in the last little bit and got to see the couple off.
It makes me think of our reception. I am really glad that; that is over with. It was wonderful and everything but it gets to the point where you just want to get out of there. The groom kept looking at his watch and we just had to laugh. I think that all grooms and couples get that way. We wish them the best in their new life together.

A normal Saturday

Saturdays bring cleaning, laundry and trying to play outside or be active. I am not a fan of doing laundry. I have no problem sorting, putting it in the washer, changing the batch but when I have to actually put it away.. yuck. Its a good thing that I end up putting it away though LOL Cleaning is a given every Saturday. When you work 40 hour weeks Saturday is the only day to really get the good cleaning done. Thank goodness for Sundays...I really enjoy being home with the family not doing much.
As for being active...Braeden and I play on a co-ed soccer team every Saturday. That is something that we look forward to every weekend. Our first game of the new season was last week. We won 8 to 2 :) It was a great way to start the season. We have to have at least 2 girls on the field during the game. There was me and another girl that showed up...so yes we played for 40 mintues straight. It was a huge plus that she scored three times helping us win. I have only ever scored once...I am working on it LOL I think that I have come a long way...I had never played until we started dating. Braeden said I have gotten better...do you think he just says that? LOL
Until next time...time to change a batch.

New to blogging...

Hello everyone. We are new to blog, most everyone has one so why not us! A little bit about us. Braeden and I were married in November of 2008. We have a wonderful daughter named Camryn. She is 11 months old and quite the handful. We have two akitas, Kiwi and Kodi we have had them since we were first married.
Braeden is going to school at UVU for his associates in University Studies. I am just working for now. Eventually I would like to go back to school, not sure what I would major in quite yet. My mother in-law and my mom switch off watching Camryn during the week. She gets a lot of attention and is very spoiled. She has started to crawl, we are really in for some trouble. She isn't very fast...yet.
I will post pcitures soon....until then....
